About Us

The Canberra Torana Club was formed in mid January 2003. It's philosophy as described within the Club Charter, is to preserve the history and experience of the Holden Torana for future generations to enjoy. In it's day to day business the Canberra Torana Club also recognises that it must consider the economic, social and environmental impacts on its members and the community.

In achieving our aims, the club is committed to bringing people together in the Canberra and surrounding region that share a common interest in the Holden Torana and in doing so, provide interesting and meaningful events that allow members to maximise the enjoyment of their car and the social aspects the club has to offer.

We have members with Torana models of all types, standard and modified and at various stages of restoration. Even if you don't have a Torana, but are interested in a progressive active car club, you are welcome to join.

If your Torana is currently under restoration you are more than welcome on runs in your daily driver. Runs often provide the inspiration needed to get that project finished. Don't wait till it's finished to join us, members have a good knowledge of Toranas, spare parts, and suppliers, and are only too happy to assist. The Club has a very active For Sale column on the website, viewed Australia wide.

The Canberra Torana Club brings people together through various social activities, meetings and fund raising activities. Upcoming events are available through our website and in our bimonthly newsletter. We hold our monthly club meetings on the third Monday of each month at the Burns Club in Kett Street, Kambah and anyone interested is very welcome to come along.

The Canberra Torana Club prides itself in supporting local charities where possible. To date we have attended the Kids with Cancer Convoy, for the past three years, to help raise funds for the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group; and McHappy Day for the past two years at the Queanbeyan McDonalds Restaurant.

Whether you have an exceptional show car, a daily runabout, a project in progress or simply an interest in Toranas, you and your family are welcome to be part of the Canberra Torana Club.

The Canberra Torana Club Inc is open to all.
