Subject: Re: Torana Doptanks

We still make many alloy drop tanks to suit the Holden Torana, they are fully baffled and come in a mill finish polish (all our performance car tanks are fully baffled to eliminate fuel surge).
Back in the 70's we made most of the touring car alloy racing drop tanks and still make road car tanks that look exactly the same (we still make race car tanks for the current V8 supercars and many other race cars as well)
Our standard tank for the Torana is 120lt (smaller tanks can be made as required) and is designed to take the standard pickup/gauge sender assembly, it fills through the standard filler spot & connects to the original venting system to keep it roadworthy. The tanks have no ugly straps under them and bracket into the chassis rails as did all the original race car tanks.
1/2" pick ups & swirl pots can be fitted into the tanks for EFI or big engined cars as we make them using the original pickup as the return if needed.
All our drop tanks fit under the standard floor so the vehicle structure does not change - you do not have to cut the boot floor - no registration problems.
Our standard tank cost is $950.00 depending on which state you are from.
You will not need an engineering cert, our tanks are approved in all states and we are on the list of approved manufacturers in WA, NT & QLD. We fit an ID plate to keep in line with the rego requirements in specific states.
Delivery varies between 1 to 4 weeks.
Foam filling is usually only for race cars as our standard baffling is quite adequate for all but cars on slicks, and the side effect other than cost is the fuel gauge float will not move up and down through the foam without very special mods to help more.
Best to ring me if you like for more details ph: 03 9762 8722 fax: 03 9762 9829. We can easily organize freight direct to you, can confirm cost with insurance - would need delivery address.
Fitting varies from $150- 250.00 depending on the car.
We do many roll cages for all sorts of racing & road cars - and cages vary from $450.00 - 25,000.00 (touring car shells cost the teams $60,000.00 unpainted) most road going cages in mild steel, CAMS standard cost between $1100 - 2500.00 (alloy non CAMS approved roll cages cost about the same)
Hope this gives you some guide.
