10 Pin Bowling Run The day began with most of us rising earlier than normal for a Sunday morning. We had booked Queanbeyan Bowl for a 10:00am start at more than reasonable prices; a run that wasn’t out to break the budget! By 9:30am, the club was to assemble at the front of Old Parliament House. There was to be one noticeable Torana absence with Big Lozz destroying his diff earlier during the week, therefore hitching a ride in a red LC. Whilst waiting out the front of Parliament House, we were invited inside, where we waited on Pat’s SL/R 5000 and Vish in his LX Torana. No show, the decision was made to head to Queanbeyan and begin the bowling. Not far out from Parliament House we copped an eye full of Pat’s “Yella”, which was to catch and join the convoy along Canberra Ave. On arrival we paid for the two games and shown the lanes. To cut a long story short (for space preservation) everyone had a ball, pardon the pun. Pat had the highest score for the day of 222, with Gerry closely behind at 215. After the bowling, and a quick shammy for some, the convoy left for a scenic location for the usual Show and Shine Photo shoot. With this done, the run was declared closed after none of us could make up our minds on doing an extra little run on top of the day we had already had. It seems we all went our separate ways and ended up at McDonald’s Queanbeyan. In Attendance: The adults overall scores from two games- The kids scores from one game- |
