Shopping Spree Saturday 27th November 2004 .

Sydney Markets Run. Hi guys and girls. Well what a great day we all had on the shopping spree!
It was an early rise and a very long day for most, who had to travel from all over Canberra to be at Kambah by the leaving time of 5.30am.

We got away just after 6am and our first stop was Sutton Forest where we had a 30 minute breakfast break. Then it was back on the bus and back on the road again heading for the markets. First we hit Paddy's Market where we spent around 2 hours and then it was back on the bus and about another 20 minutes to Berkingham Point where we had lunch and shopped for around 3 hours. Guess what folks it was back on the bus and off to the Direct Factory Outlet at Homebush, where we shopped until 6p.m. Then it was back on the bus and time to head for home. We stopped at Sutton Forest for around 30 minutes for dinner.

We had a great conversation going over the 2 way radios, with 5 radios all up it was very entertaining to say the least! John and Laurie kept us all entertained with their comments about the rubber duckie and the trivia quiz was great fun. Then Phil broke the aerial off the walkie talkie and the comment was OH NO we have a man down. John's favourite saying of the trip was, "Laurie get your hands off my cookie jar"

We arrived at Kambah just after 10pm totally exhausted and ready for some well deserved sleep!

The feed back we got from everyone was that they want to do it again in 2005, so we will be planning another trip after the New Year. A very big thank you goes out to everyone who supported the Canberra Torana Club, its great to see we have so much support in Canberra.
