Marques in the Park
Sunday 18th November 2012

Despite early fears of wet weather, Sunday 18 November dawned bright and clear.  As a result, not a few Toranas rumbled into the car park of Old Parliament House far too early for a Sunday morning.  Some even made the trip all the way from Belconnen, despite soon having to turn around and head straight back (thanks for joining us for the cruise Brad and Shell!).

Our convoy made its way to John Knight Park in Belconnen and set up in the same position as last year - which also happened to be the only entrance and exit to the park, giving us a close up of each new arrival.  After some discussion about the display and a BBQ breakfast, we settled back to enjoy a relaxed day of good company, sunshine and some impressive cars.

We faced off across the park with a (much!) smaller contingent of A9Xs than expected - special mention to Peter S for sticking with the CTC rather than crossing the grass.

Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to an enjoyable day - particularly those who worked the BBQ and packed up.  It's disappointing that this will be the last Marques, at least for a while.

See you on the next run,

K.
